Weekend&ToDoList

This was a very relaxing weekend. We didn't really do anything besides our hour of cardio on Saturday. We stuck to our diet (I am proud :) ) and have just been relaxing. I caught up on some blog reading and hug with my sis a little and he has been caught up in a golf video game. That boy loves golf. Tonight we have a movie date. I haven't ever seen Kingdom of Heaven and so we are going to fix that tonight. I'm looking forward to it because we haven't spent much time together lately. We have been "together" like in the same room, but we have been doing our own things and I miss my cuddle buddy. :)

Jamaica :D

We have a big to do list from now until we get married. I know that is a long time...(11 months), but time flies by and especially with my last volleyball season coming up and then Christmas..it will only leave about 5 months to get most of the stuff done. Here is what we are gonna have to do:

-order our passports

-finalize our registries (fun!)

-talk to our travel agent and book our trip and flight tickets

-find a place to live in Bham

-find jobs in Bham

-enroll at UAB

-make sure we have everything we need for our own place

-order our cake topper

-finalize wedding ceremony details with the wedding planner

-SAVE MONEY

-make our Christmas lists

-get everyones' Christmas gifts

-find new docs in Bham

-order wedding reception invites

-order thank you cards

I'm sure there are tons more things I'm forgetting, but those are the things that are sticking out to me right now. This upcoming year is going to be a busy busy one, but I'm soooo excited. Everyday Andrew and I talk about how we are looking forward to having our own place and our own stuff. I know it's going to be a little tough money wise for a while, but we can make it work. I have faith in us!

New Diet & Random Stuff

so....today started our new diet...well it started after we got everything we needed from publix...
We ate apple cinnamon oatmeal for breakfast, which was very yummy, but it turns out that we aren't allowed to eat the apple cinnamon kind. :( Then we had our freaking hard leg workout. OMG my legs have never hurt this bad. We left the gym drenched in sweat and with our new diets in hand. We are supposed to drink a protein shake 15-45 minutes after our workout, so we headed home and did that. My protein shake tastes so good it's like a milk shake, so I have no problem drinking those. :) We made a list and ran to Publix in Home wood and by the time we got home it was already 5pm...so we had missed our morning snack, lunch, and afternoon snack...so dinner was left. Drew grilled us some Tilapia and I fixed our salads. I looooove the zesty Italian dressing. I used to eat it until I got on a ranch kick..Drew mixed his 2 tbsp of ranch with some moores hot sauce. He loved it, so we have found our dressings for our chicken-less salad...I will have to eat ranch with my chicken salads. The rest of our diet doesn't look bad at all. We get to eat 5-6 times a day. Who wouldn't like that? We get to eat some tasty deli turkey and chicken and 93/7 beef (LOVE this stuff). We even get to have hot chocolate (25 calorie swissmiss packs) on nights when we are starving and can't sleep. I'm excited about all this. I have tried to eat healthy before, but now that I have a guideline I bet I'll be more likely to stick to it and see results.

We have had a not so eventful Friday night. We took showers after dinner and then I immediately grabbed the laptop and have been reading blogs ever since and Drew has been playing video games. I have started to love reading other peoples' blogs. I love movies or books following some one's life and reading blogs is kinda the same thing in a way. I like to read blogs of stat at home mom's and newlyweds, because both are things that I will be one day. It's so cool to see all the different experiences others are going through.

We still have not booked our wedding moon trip. We are waiting for our travel agent to call us and let us know the booking prices. Drew and I are pretty much set on going to Negril, Jamaica, regardless of others' opinions...I know where ever we go will the trip of a lifetime, because it will be where we say "I DO" and I will become Mrs. Andrew Russell Jones. :D I CANNOT wait. Tomorrow will be 11 months till our wedding day. :) Then we get to move to Birmingham and play house for the rest of our lives. <3>

I'm gonna go continue to be a stalker and read other peoples' blogs. hehe Until next time! xoxo

My Body Hates Me Right Now

This is the 4th day in a row Drew and I have actually ate healthy and worked out. We are both so sore we can hardly move and it KILLS me to sit on the toilet, but hey, you have to do what you gotta do to get a tight booty. :) Although I don't feel like I look any smaller or anything, I do feel better about myself and I know results will come. We started working out with a trainer and I hope he kicks us into shape this month. My last ever volleyball season starts Aug 2nd and I want to look decent in my spandex. Drew is already showing results from working out. I hate boys for that. They can look at a treadmill and lose weight...but anyway, our next session is at 10 tomorrow morning. He is giving us our strict diet which I will post later. I'm sure it's going to be lovely. Tonight we are about to pop some pop corn (smart pop, of course) and cuddle up to watch a movie. I'm having extreme caffeine headaches. I was addicted to Coke 0 and I'm missing it badly. :/ I'll be fine though. I'll get to have one on my cheat day.

I guess that's all our "exciting" stuff for now.

I Need to Blog More

It's been a while, so I thought I would update everyone on our life lately. I've been reading blogs way more than focusing on ours! I've found some that are basically about the same stuff that mine is now and what I plan for it to be like in the future. Most of the them are blogs of SAHMs (stay at home moms) that write about their everyday life with their husband and families. Exactly what I plan for ours to be about. :)

This weekend.
We stayed at my aunts house last night along with my mom and lil sis. It was interesting, but like always, I had a great time. We got a total of two hours of sleep before we woke up at 5 a.m. We were all SO thrilled to be up that early. The reason we stayed was the huge yard sale we had this morning. We had TONS of stuff and sold a majority of it. The money Drew and I got is going straight to our savings account. I am dead set on saving money. We have had our little week or so of shopping and buying things we've been wanting, but I think it's time we get serious and start putting away money for when we move to Birmingham next year and we're on our own. We have already started being a little more independent though. We paid our first Verizon cell bill today. I am very proud of us. :] Hey, we have to start somewhere.
I got a little down earlier because I'm not the type of person who just loves to get out and do stuff, especially if tons of people are involved. I'm just not a big fan of people in general. Drew, on the other hand likes to be out and do stuff...so I feel like I hold him back sometimes, but I guess we make up for it with our date this coming Thurs night to Outback and the Eclipse movie. I AM looking forward to that. Where I was going with all of this is that instead of going to the 4th of July fireworks show we stayed at home and just got a few things done around the house. I can barely run on 2 hours of sleep and I am also feeling kinda sickly anyway, so after I get done with this post I'm taking some meds and hitting the sheets.

Health.
Ever since we got back from our beach trip it has been super hard for me to get motivated to workout or eat healthy. I have been so lazy. Not to mention that when I go to my mom or aunts they always have my favorite junk foods and my dad doesn't keep anything like that in the house, so of course I have to eat it all while I can.
I have my last volleyball season coming up in ONE month and I want it to be the best. I want to look and feel good wearing that tight uniform and spandex. With that being said, I've made a few goals and Drew is making me a workout a workout and eating plan so that I can achieve them. I think I'm going to try the reward system for a few weeks. For every week that I stick to the plan I get to reward myself with something like a pedi or new workout shorts. :) Maybe this will help me stay motivated.

Time to add a little seriousness to this post.
Along with adding a more serious approach to getting healthy, I'm also going to start a daily Bible reading. One of my lifetime goals is to read the Bible cover to cover and actually remember what I've read. I don't know how many times I've read Genesis and Revelation, but now I wanna know what's in between.

I've also been noticing that I need to appreciate my soon to be hubby more. He does so much for me and sometimes I take him for granted, but I'm going to work HARD on this, because he deserves so much better than what I give him. I have been thinking about our relationship and everything relating to it for it seems like constantly the past week or so. I get frustrated because he tells me what I need to hear and doesn't let me just get my way all the time. I know I need to him to be like that and I need to learn to appreciate that too, as hard as it may be.
Is it normal for engaged women to think about being pregnant and things like that a lot? Everywhere we go it seems like when I see clothes I think to myself, "That would be such a cute pregnant shirt" or I see little kiddies and I just get all googly eyed and drift off thinking about my little munchkins that will one day be here. I know I'm only about to be 20, and NO I do not plan on getting pregnant this young, but I have to admit I'm extremely excited about having babies. :) It will be a few years before we do though. I want to be able to travel as just us a little and save up money before we bring a little us into our family.

time for some sleepy medicine and my comfy bed. I'm going to start blogging more though, promise! :)
